PREVENTING INTERNET FRAUD: BOOSTING LEGAL LITERACY

Today, the Akmola Region Police Department held a preventive awareness session for employees of JSC “Tynys,” aimed at enhancing legal literacy and preventing online fraud.

During the meeting, the company’s staff were briefed on amendments to the criminal legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan regarding liability for “money mule” (dropper) activities. They also learned about emerging online fraud schemes and ways to protect themselves against such illicit acts.

Additionally, participants were shown educational videos focused on financial security and the prevention of criminal offenses.

Such events help raise public awareness, foster a responsible attitude toward personal and financial security, and prevent individuals from being drawn into illegal activities.
